We're a neighbourhood vet on Sydney Road for the pets that rule the house. Flat $95 consults. No rushed appointments. Actual follow-ups.
The consult fee never changes, whether it's a 10-minute nail trim or a full nose-to-tail once-over. You'll see the cost of anything extra before we do it.
Your pet is nervous. You have questions. We built the schedule around real life, not insurance-company maths. The waiting room has treats for humans too.
Every patient gets a next-day check-in from the nurse who saw them. If something's off, we know before you have to wonder.
Most visits fall into one of these. The full ledger of everything else is just below.
A full wellness check — heart, teeth, joints, weight, mood. For puppies, seniors, and everyone in between.
Vaccines, boosters, microchips. The admin of adulthood, but for your dog. We bring treats. You bring the dog.
Desexing. We do it on Wednesdays. Drop off in the morning, home by end of the day with a printed aftercare card.
Plain-English pricing for everything we do. Bring the list, ask questions, no one is judging.
Four of us, one receptionist cat, and a revolving door of fosters. Come say hi.
Runs the clinic. Spent six years in emergency before slowing down to do it properly.
🐈 Biscuit · one-eyed catWill know your gecko's name by the second visit. Keeps a reading list of vet journals by the kettle.
🐍 Linguine · corn snakeThe one who rings you the next day. Fosters retired greyhounds; three of them have stayed.
🐕 Moth · retired greyhoundRuns Saturday puppy school. Believes every dog is ten minutes of training away from its best self.
🐕 Pesto · border collieTag @sydneyroadvet — we put the best ones on the wall.
Above the old fabric shop, next door to Padre Coffee. Street parking on Victoria Street, two minutes from the 19 tram.
Yes. Whether it's a five-minute question or a full work-up, the consult is $95. Anything extra — vaccines, medication, tests — is quoted to you before we do it. No surprise invoices.
We run fear-free. Dogs and cats wait in separate rooms. Treats, pheromone diffusers, and slow introductions are standard. If your pet truly can't settle, we'll rebook and you won't be charged for the first attempt.
Dr. Tom sees birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and most reptiles. Call ahead for anything unusual — if we can't help, we know who can.
We're closed Sundays and after 7pm weekdays. Melbourne Animal Emergency Hospital in Carlton is our referral partner — they're open 24/7. Number's in our footer and on the clinic door.
We do direct-claim with most major insurers (PetSure, Bow Wow Meow, Knose, Medibank Pet). Bring the policy number and we'll do the paperwork.
Genuinely, yes. Socialisation visits for puppies and nervous rescues are free. Biscuit the cat will come out if she likes you.
